IAMMAI — Holistic, Multidimensional Fashion by Mai Niemi

IAMMAI reimagines fashion as wearable storytelling that unites inner and outer self. Rooted in sustainability, handcraft and local culture, the concept rejects mass-production in favor of seasonless, ageless garments that celebrate feminine form, wellbeing and creative self-expression.

Core idea

  • One-size-for-most, zero-waste garments knitted and finished by hand in Finland, designed to flow with diverse bodies and promote comfort, confidence and movement.

  • Designs fuse art, Feng Shui, mythology, nature connection and play — garments function as expressive canvases and role-play tools that carry meaning and transform identity.

  • Pattern language uses universal geometric forms (spirals, crystalline shapes, flower-of-life) to create coherence between clothing and body, aiming to support physical, emotional and energetic wellbeing.

Vision IAMMAI positions niche, meaningful design as the new mainstream — fashion as “superfashion” or fashion therapy that helps wearers embody their desired identity (from Cinderella to Superwoman). It blends ethno-futuristic craft, biophysics-inspired patterning and fairy-tale storytelling to offer locally made, globally resonant garments that nourish body, mind and spirit.
